What Glean does well

Glean is an enterprise AI platform. It offers search, an assistant and agents across more than 250 connectors, including Jira, Confluence, Slack, GitHub, Google Drive and Microsoft Teams. It follows the permissions set in each source tool, so people only see what they are allowed to see.

Glean also supports shared collaboration and actions such as creating tickets and updating records. It gives admins control over which AI models people use, how much they use and what agents can do. That matters when security and IT teams need to approve AI for thousands of people.

Why teams look for a Glean alternative

Teams usually start looking for one of three reasons:

  1. Price and process. Glean does not publish a price. A product team that wants to test AI on one release may not want a sales process first.
  2. Scope. Glean is built for the whole company. One team may only need help with its own work.
  3. Where the team works. Glean supports shared collaboration and can create tickets or update records. Compare that workflow with the place your team wants to discuss and act on each work item.

Guru

Guru gives cited answers from your company knowledge. It adds verification: experts confirm that a piece of knowledge is still correct. It has more than 100 integrations, including Slack, Confluence, Jira, GitHub and Google Drive.

Choose Guru if wrong answers are costly, for example in support or sales, and you need approved knowledge.

Skip it if you need a quick start for one team. Guru uses custom pricing.

Atlassian Rovo

Rovo is included with paid Jira and Confluence Cloud plans. It offers search, chat and agents across Atlassian products and connected apps.

Choose Rovo if your company already pays for Atlassian Cloud on Standard or higher.

Skip it if most of your work lives outside Atlassian.

Microsoft 365 Copilot

Copilot works inside Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams. Admins can connect Jira, Confluence and GitHub.

Choose Copilot if your company runs on Microsoft 365.

Skip it if your team works mostly in Slack and Google Workspace.

Notion AI

Notion AI includes an agent, AI meeting notes and Enterprise Search across Slack, Google Drive, GitHub, Jira (beta), Linear and Microsoft Teams.

Choose Notion AI if your docs and wiki live in Notion.

Skip it if Confluence is your main wiki.

Quely

A product team can start with one Space in Quely. You bring your work items into a Space from Jira, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Linear, monday.com, Trello, Todoist or Wrike. The team then discusses, documents, meets and estimates on each item in one place.

Search works best for questions you already know to ask. Quely's Orbit Ask also helps with the questions nobody has asked yet. In our product walkthrough, Orbit Ask looks across a work item's thread, documents and diagrams. It finds gaps and writes the questions the team may need to answer before committing to the work. The product manager can send each question into the thread for the right person to answer.

As you add more Spaces, the Quely home page lets you ask questions across all of them. You can start with one Space for one release and grow from there.

Choose Quely if you are one product team that wants to start small with one release, and your problem is unanswered questions on active work.

Skip it if your company needs one governed AI search for every department. Glean is built for that.

Quely offers a free pilot. You start with one sprint, release or initiative. Book a walkthrough to set it up.

How to choose in one week

  1. Pick one initiative where a later conversation changed an earlier decision.
  2. Find the original document and the later discussion.
  3. In each tool, ask: "Which decision applies now, and what is still uncertain?"
  4. Check each answer with the people who own the work.
  5. Write down the setup each tool needed before you could ask.

The Quely team wrote this comparison. We used each vendor's public pricing and product pages, checked on October 29, 2026. We did not run hands-on tests of the other products. Features and prices vary by plan, so confirm them with each vendor.
