Atlassian Rovo Alternatives for Product Teams (2026)
If your company already pays for Jira or Confluence Cloud on a Standard plan or higher, try Rovo first, because it is included. Look at an alternative when your team's work and discussions live mostly outside Atlassian, or when you need one place where the team works on an item, not only a place to search for it.

- Notion AI: teams whose docs and wiki already live in Notion.
- ClickUp Brain: teams that run their tasks in ClickUp.

What Rovo does well
Rovo is Atlassian's AI. It includes search across Atlassian products and connected apps, a chat assistant, agents and a Studio for building your own agents. Agents can act on work, for example by updating a Jira item.
The main reason to keep Rovo is cost. It comes with paid Jira and Confluence Cloud plans, so you do not buy a separate license. Search and summaries do not use credits. Chat and agents do. On Standard plans each user gets 25 credits a month, and a basic AI action uses 10. From December 3, 2026, extra use costs $0.01 per credit, with a spending cap that admins control.
So Rovo works best when most of your team's work already lives in Jira and Confluence.
Why product teams look for a Rovo alternative
Teams usually start looking for one of three reasons:
- The work lives in many tools. The ticket is in Jira. The discussion is in Slack. The decision is in a Google Doc or a meeting. To answer one question, someone opens four tabs. Rovo can search connected apps, but the team still works in separate places.
- Search is not the hard part. A product manager may find the right document and still need to message several people to learn what changed since.
- Credits run out. Heavy chat and agent use on Standard plans can become a paid line item.
Match the alternative to the reason.
Glean
Glean is an enterprise AI platform. It offers search, an assistant and agents across more than 250 connectors, including Jira, Confluence, Slack, GitHub and Google Drive. It respects the permissions set in each source tool.
Choose Glean if you need one permission-aware search for the whole company, and IT will own the rollout.
Skip it if you are one product team that needs a quick start. Glean does not publish a price, and you buy it through sales.
Microsoft 365 Copilot
Copilot works inside Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams. It can recap Teams meetings and answer questions from your work files. Admins can add connectors for Jira, Confluence and GitHub.
Choose Copilot if your team already writes, meets and chats in Microsoft 365.
Skip it if your team works mostly in Slack, Google Workspace or Linear. Copilot is an add-on to a Microsoft 365 license, and its strengths are inside Microsoft apps.
Notion AI
Notion AI includes an agent, AI meeting notes and Enterprise Search. On the Business plan or higher it can search Slack, Google Drive, GitHub, Jira (beta), Linear and Microsoft Teams.
Choose Notion AI if your specs, roadmaps and wiki already live in Notion.
Skip it if Confluence is your main wiki. Notion's AI connectors do not list Confluence.
ClickUp Brain
ClickUp Brain is the AI inside ClickUp. It searches your ClickUp workspace, runs AI agents and takes meeting notes. On Enterprise and Max plans it can also search connected apps such as Google Drive, Slack and GitHub.
Choose ClickUp Brain if your team is ready to run its tasks and docs in ClickUp.
Skip it if you plan to keep Jira as the main place for tasks. You would pay for a second task tool to get the AI.
Quely
Quely suits a product team whose work is spread across Jira, Slack, docs and meetings. You bring your work items into a Space. You can bring them in from Jira, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Linear, monday.com, Trello, Todoist or Wrike. The team then works on each item in one place: threads, documents, diagrams, meetings and estimates sit next to the item.
Here is what that looks like before sprint planning. In our product walkthrough, a work item called PD-25 comes from Jira. In Quely it has a thread with the team's discussion, a planning document and a diagram. The product manager asks Orbit, Quely's AI: "Summarize what this work is trying to achieve and the most important context I should understand before planning it." Orbit answers from the item, the thread, the document and the diagram. The product manager then asks a follow-up question: "What are the biggest risks and unsolved questions we should deal with before committing to this work?"
Compare where your team will work. Rovo supports search, chat and agents that can act across connected tools. Quely gives the team one Space where the work and its discussion stay together, so the answer does not depend on finding the right Slack thread later.

Choose Quely if your team uses several tools besides Atlassian, and people spend time asking colleagues what changed on an item.
Skip it if your team works almost fully inside Jira and Confluence and Rovo's included credits cover your use.
Quely offers a free pilot. You start with one sprint, release or initiative. Book a walkthrough to set it up.
How to choose in one week
- Pick one active release that has a recent decision and an open question.
- Write down the question a teammate could not answer last week.
- Ask that question in Rovo and in one alternative, using the same source material.
- Check each answer against the original ticket, discussion and document.
- Ask someone who missed the last meeting to explain the next step from each answer.
The tool that lets that person act without messaging anyone is the one to keep.
