Standuply Alternatives: 5 Tools for Standups, Retros and Poker

If you only use Standuply for standups, switch to Geekbot, DailyBot or Standup Alice, because they do the job and often have a larger free plan. If you also use planning poker and retros, look at Quely, which runs standups, retros and poker next to the work items. Standuply is one of the few Slack and Teams bots that covers all three, so check which ones your team uses first.

What Standuply does well

Standuply runs standups in Slack and Teams by text, voice or video. It also runs async retros, planning poker and backlog grooming. It has polls and surveys with conditional questions. It connects to Jira, GitHub, Trello and Asana and shows Agile charts.

The free plan covers 3 users. Its January 2024 help article lists the Team plan from $1.50 and the Business plan from $3.50 per user per month. Planning poker and backlog grooming are on Business. When we checked, the live pricing page did not show prices, so confirm them with Standuply.

Why teams look for a Standuply alternative

  1. Team size. The free plan stops at 3 users.
  2. Unclear pricing. The live pricing page did not show prices when we checked.
  3. They only use standups. Other bots have larger free plans for standups alone.
  4. Estimates lack context. Poker in a chat bot shows the ticket title, not the discussion behind it.

Geekbot

Geekbot runs standups, polls and surveys in Slack and Teams. It includes a retro template. It is free for up to 10 users, then $3 per user per month.

Choose Geekbot if you mainly use Standuply for standups and polls.

Skip it if you need planning poker.

DailyBot

DailyBot runs check-ins in Slack, Teams, Google Chat and Discord, with kudos, mood tracking and workflows. It connects to Jira, GitHub and Linear.

Choose DailyBot if you need a free plan for more than 3 people.

Skip it if you need retros or poker.

Standup Alice

Standup Alice runs standups with custom questions in Slack, Teams, Webex and Google Chat.

Choose Standup Alice if you want a low, confirmed price for standups only.

Skip it if you use any other Scrum ritual in Standuply.

Steady (formerly Status Hero)

Steady combines check-ins with goals, AI briefs and blocker alerts, and pulls activity from Jira and GitHub.

Choose Steady if you want check-ins tied to goals.

Skip it if you need retros or poker.

Quely

Quely covers standups, retros and planning poker, but in a different place. Standuply runs them in a chat bot. Quely runs them in a Space next to the work items. If your team relies on Standuply's backlog grooming sessions, check that part during the walkthrough.

In our sprint workflow video, a product manager runs a sprint Space that holds the team's async standup thread and the retrospective document for the last sprint. In our product walkthrough, planning poker sits inside each work item. So when the team estimates, the discussion, the planning document and any diagrams are on the same screen. People estimate from the full picture, not only the ticket title.

Choose Quely if you use standups, retros and poker, and you want them linked to the work items.

Skip it if you want these rituals inside Slack or Teams. Quely is not a Slack or Teams bot.

Quely offers a free pilot. You start with one sprint, release or initiative. Book a walkthrough to set it up.

How to choose in one week

  1. List the Standuply features your team used in the last month: standups, retros, poker, grooming or polls.
  2. Remove any tool from the table that does not cover your list.
  3. Run one full sprint ritual in your top choice: one standup, one estimate and one retro.
  4. Check whether each blocker and each estimate had the context the team needed.

How we compared

The Quely team wrote this comparison. We used each vendor's public pricing and product pages, checked on October 29, 2026. We did not run hands-on tests of the other products. Features and prices vary by plan, so confirm them with each vendor.
